When and where does the event take place?
VGX is held annually in Vancouver, Canada. The date and venue may vary and are announced via newsletter and social media. Please check our home page for the latest confirmed details.
Is VGX family-friendly?
Yes, Vancouver Game Expo welcomes guests of all ages. Special activities for children are also usually included. There may be games rated for mature audiences being exhibited, however, exhibitors are required to clearly indicate as such at their booths.
Who runs VGX?
Vancouver Game Expo is organized by a women-led team of volunteers from various parts of the game industry and community. These coordinators are passionate about building inclusive spaces for Metro Vancouver and beyond. Learn more about VGX's team and history here.
Passes & Registration
How do I get passes?
Passes are generally available for online purchase 2-3 months before the expo dates. Look for the Get Passes button on our website. Sign up to our newsletter or follow us on social media to get updates, including Early Bird discounts. You may also buy passes at the door, though prices are typically lower online.
How do I pick up my wristbands and pre-ordered merch?
Entry wristbands and pre-ordered merch will be available for pick-up the day before the expo or at the door on expo days. Sign up to our newsletter to be notified of details closer to the event.
Do I need to print my pass?
No, you are encouraged to save paper and register by scanning your e-pass or using the Eventbrite app at the registration desk.
Is expo re-entry permitted?
Yes, expo re-entry is permitted as long as you are still wearing your wristband and capacity allows. New attendees may be prioritized if capacity reaches maximum.
Can I refund my pass?
Passes may be refunded up to 14 days before the expo begins. Please request your refund via Eventbrite or get help here.
Venue & Services
How do I get to the expo?
VGX 2026 will be held in East Exhibition Hall A at the Vancouver Convention Centre at Canada Place - less than a 5-minute walk from Waterfront Station. Find directions and parking info here. Please note that Vancouver Convention Centre has two separate buildings and we are located in the East Building at Canada Place.
Are food and drinks available at the event?
Yes, there will be a bistro area on the expo floor with food and beverages for purchase. Coal Harbour Cafe is another option located inside Canada Place near the expo hall entrance, open during breakfast and lunch hours. Food and drinks from Coal Harbour Cafe may be brought into the expo hall, however Vancouver Convention Centre does not permit other outside food in the expo hall. There are also many dining options around the Vancouver Convention Centre West Building and within walking distance of Canada Place.
Is VGX wheelchair-friendly?
