Who We Are

Vancouver Game Expo sprouted from a dream over a decade ago: to create a welcoming space that brings together all members of the game community - from gamers to developers, artists to content creators, industry hopefuls to veterans, and everyone in between.

From 2015 to 2024, a handful of passion-driven women took the reins of hosting the original Twitch Vancouver meetups, creating grassroots, inclusive events for content creators, game devs, and fans to connect.

After a decade of industry experience, our founder wished to expand on the dream - invite more people, provide more support to game makers, and shine a brighter light on our beautiful city. Through the selfless support of her fellow coordinators, gracious collaborators, and volunteer staff, VGX was born.

As Vancouver Game Expo grows, we hope to provide real meaningful value, memorable experiences, and lasting connections to our guests and partners through interaction and play, while contributing to Metro Vancouver's visibility in the global game industry.
